Join our 8TH ANNUAL HOPE RUN/WALK supporting young adult cancer fighters!
YOU can easily make a difference in the life of Young Adults diagnosed with cancer! Walk, run, jog, bike, roll, skip, army crawl...whatever your preferred method, join us either VIRTUALLY or IN PERSON for our annual 5k run/walk!
The single most under-supported demographic of those battling cancer is that of the Adolescent & Young Adult age group. There are twice as many cancer patients aged 15-30 than those under age 15, yet the resources available for young adults drastically pales in comparison to their younger counterparts.
DHOH is working to eliminate that gap, however we need your help to do so.
Please join us by participating and/or making a donation toward our 2023 Hope Run/Walk for Young Adult Cancer Fighters! All dollars raised directly ease the financial burdens associated with traveling to Houston to receive treatments and care by providing free lodging, a variety of supportive events and activities, subsidizing hotel costs when all DHOH rooms are full, and covering the costs of Med-Center parking, gas, and some meals for the cancer warrior and their caregiver.
In addition to the financial support that DHOH provides young adult cancer fighters, isolation reducing and normalcy returning psycho-social programming helps to return a bit of normalcy both during and after treatment.
